DESCRIPTION:This tour is limited to 60 participants.\n\nPlease register to reserve your spot (MEMBERS) or be added to the wait list (NON-MEMBERS).\n\nCheck-in time: 5:30 p.m. Tour starts at 6:00 p.m. \nNOTE: DOORS WILL BE LOCKED AT 6 pm with NO ENTRY AFTER THAT \nJoin the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum Curator of History Leah Davis Witherow on a tour featuring new exhibits\, the history of the building\, and a sneak peek of what’s next for CSPM. \nThe granite building with a domed clock tower was the El Paso County Courthouse building from 1903 to 1973. The museum\, which moved to this location in 1979\, has fine arts\, artifacts and archival collections that document the Pikes Peak region. The museum’s mission is to “build a lasting connection to the Pikes Peak region by preserving and sharing our cultural history\,” which is accomplished through a wide variety of temporary and long-term exhibits\, tours\, programs\, lectures\, and special events.  It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. \n\n\nHPA Coordinator:  Ann Brock \nTour Guides: Leah Davis Witherow and Pioneers Museum staff \nWaiver: All attendees must sign the updated 2024 HPA Liability Waiver. DOWNLOAD HERE and bring with you or sign at the venue. \n\n\nParking: On street metered parking or parking garage at 130 S. Nevada \nDisabled Access:  Yes–Anyone needing accessible entrance please go to the Southwest corner of the building where there is a ramp. Ring the doorbell and one of the staff members will help them to the elevator \nBathrooms: Yes \n\n\nPlease note: 2024 Summer Tour Update \n\n\nWe are excited to announce the tours for the upcoming 2024 Summer Series! The HPA\, in appreciation of our member’s support\, is prioritizing reservations when attendance limitations apply. Reservations will be taken on a first come first serve basis by signing up for your preferred tours below. This also means that members will be given a place before “guests” or non-members. If a member wishes to include a guest\, that guest will be put on the wait list until and if a cancellation occurs and they are first on the wait list. We will email everyone who has a reservation before each tour to confirm that they still intend to attend. Cancellations will be handled on the website and through the link provided in your confirmation email.
